Master of Sport
Master of Sport (Master sporta) is the foundational athletic title in Russia's state sports ranking system, established in 1934 during the Soviet era. Athletes earn it by meeting specific performance standards at the national level, such as qualifying times, scores, or placements at Russian championships. The title is roughly comparable to national-champion-level performance in other countries. It is the most commonly awarded title and represents a high level of competitive achievement in a given discipline.
112,656 title holders.
